How to Apply for The Blankenship Team College Scholarship
Students apply by submitting their application via email to firstname.lastname@example.org starting on January 1, 2018. For Fall 2018, the scholarship will close on June 1st, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. CST and will be awarded by July 1st, 2018.
Applicants should complete all parts of the online application to qualify for consideration. If submitting via email, applicants must include all of the following information:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Permanent address
- School to be attended Fall 2018
- Graduation date
- 500-1000 word essay
A series of documentation will be requested via email or phone from the finalists to verify eligibility.
Awards will be given based on the following criteria:
The essay should answer the question: “How does your education help insure your future career goals in real estate?” How will your studies protect against an unstable future following your education?
A panel of judges will review the applications and essays will be judged on the following criteria:
- Applicants must follow the essay prompt
- Submissions must be 500 – 1000 words
- Submissions should clearly relate their education to a real estate career.

Winners will each receive a one-time scholarship check of $500 to be used for future education expenses.
No purchase necessary to be eligible for this scholarship and all personal information is kept completely private and will never be sold or share with third parties.
The Blankenship Team College Scholarship is open to any citizen and/or resident of the United States (and its territories) who will be enrolled at an accredited college of higher learning full-time for Fall Semester 2018 semester.
All other entries not meeting requirements will be disqualified.
Each applicant may submit only one entry. If multiple entries are determined, all submissions will be disqualified. Application period starts on January 1st, 2018 at 8 a.m. PST. Winners will be notified via email on July 1st.
Scholarship money will be awarded no later than August 1st, 2018. All portions of the application must be answered, attaching all requested documents. Failure to fully answer the essay question or provide all documentation could deem an application ineligible.
NO confirmation email will be sent. Any requests asking for verification of submission will not be granted. Subsequently, no notification will be sent to non-winners of the scholarship. Entries must be received no later than June 1st, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. CST to be eligible for the contest.
Scholarships are non-transferable.
Competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Winners will be solely responsible for their jurisdictional taxes. Affidavit of originality will be required for all winners, eligibility and compliance with rules, a release of liability and grant of publication rights within 10 days of the date specified in the notification.
Failure to do so will result in the prize being awarded to the finalist with the next highest votes.
Winners must provide a valid street address to which The Blankenship Team can mail scholarship checks, a press releast release, an affidavit of eligibility and complete a W-9 for tax purposes in order to qualify for receipt of the scholarship award in the amount of $500.

Winners must also provide a valid street address to which The Blankenship Team can mail a publicity release, an affidavit of eligibility and complete a W-9 for tax purposes in order to qualify for receipt of the scholarship award in the amount of $500.
**All essays and all rights to their publication become the property of The Blankenship Team, which may use, edit and excerpt these entries for purposes promotional or otherwise, including placing them online without compensation, additional or otherwise. The Blankenship Team reserves the right to use prizewinners’ names and hometowns in any advertising or promotional materials relating to this competition without further notification, permission, or compensation to the winners, except where prohibited by law.
