In St. Louis, Keller Williams entered the market in 2006 during a time of great upheaval in the local real estate market.  The residential real estate market of the early 2000s had burst and rather than concentrate on market conditions, Keller Williams focused on building the best possible sales force through concentrated training efforts. 

The results paid off.  In just a few years, it became the top real estate office in agent count. Shortly thereafter, it gained the top spot in sales units and in sales volume.

Nationwide, from humble beginnings in 1983, Keller Williams has surged past industry giants like RE/MAX, Coldwell Banker, and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices to become the number one real estate franchise in agent count, closed units, and closed sales volume in the United States.

In 2017, the company’s 155,000 U.S. agents closed more than 1 million units, generating more than $300 billion in sales revenue.

KW also had the most market centers – 161 – on the REAL Trends 500 list of top brokerages.

On RIS Media’s 29th Annual Power Broker Report, Keller Williams represented an industry-leading 32 percent of the top 1,000 brokerages surveyed in 2017, up from 29 percent of the list the previous year. The report ranks residential real estate brokerage firms according to annual closed transactions and sales volume.
